Vicki Stracensky is a multiple Emmy award-winning/nominated director at Fox 8 in Cleveland, Ohio. She received a bachelor of arts in communication from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She graduated from Holy Name High School and was in the National Honor Society and is in the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Back then, sports were her passion, and she played volleyball, basketball and softball. She attended college on a basketball scholarship and was an Academic All-American. She was also the assistant coach of her basketball team (the Lady Owls) the year after she ended her career. Upon graduation, she covered sports and wrote for three newspapers and worked at the local sports radio station. She was then taken under the wing of Chuck Schodowski of the famed comedy duo “Big Chuck & Lil’ John.” He taught her how to direct and asked her to play softball and basketball on the Big Chuck and Lil’ John All-Stars (a Harlem Globetrotters-like team). She had a great time being able to carry on her “Rambo” nickname and meet so many wonderful people. Now, her four children are her life and she is very active with school and parish activities. She is active in Cub Scouts and is her oldest son’s den leader. Working in the media and seeing many stories of children getting hurt has made her committed to instilling in her children how important it is to be safe. She wants to launch her writing career to educate and help her children and other children as well. Vicki lives in Medina, Ohio, with her husband, John, and her awesome children, Matthew, Daniel, Mollie, and Evan.
