Dick Goddard is the chief meteorologist at Fox 8 in Cleveland, Ohio. With an AMS seal of 45, he is one of the longest active members of the American Meteorological Society. He began his weather career in the United States Air Force in 1951.  A decade later he began his television weather career after passing up a chance to interview at Walt Disney Studios in California for an illustrator position. He has won numerous awards and was even named the most popular weathercaster in America. Dick is an avid sports fan and is a statistician for home games for the National Football League’s Cleveland Browns. Dick is a huge advocate for animals, and his popularity, care, compassion, and generosity have helped animal organizations in Northeast Ohio throughout the years. Dick is also the host of the annual Woollybear Festival which is held every fall in Vermilion, Ohio. Over 100,000 people and their pets take part in this event, making it one of the largest single-day events in the United States.
